چکیده

This paper presents the ProMARTES toolkit for profiling, modeling and performance analysis of component-based real-time distributed systems (CB-RTDS). The ProMARTES toolkit features multiple benefits: (a) cycle-accurate profiling of individual components and automated generation of MARTEcompatible SW component performance models, (b) guided composition of a system architecture from available SW and HW components based on the UML-MARTE profile, (c) automated generation of a performance model, (d) comprehensive performance analysis (scheduling, simulation and network analysis) of the composed system. In the ProMARTES toolkit, available as open source [1], the individual tools are integrated into the toolkit pipeline, providing a complete design and analysis life-cycle.

Maximum Power Point Tracker for Photovoltaic Systems Based on Moth-Flame Optimization Considering Partial Shading Conditions

The performance of photovoltaic (PV) systems is highly dependent on environmental conditions. Due to probable changes in environmental conditions, the real-time control of PV systems is essential for exploiting their maximum possible power. This paper proposes a new method to track the maximum power point of PV systems using the moth-flame optimization algorithm. In this method, the PV DC-DC co...

Towards Cycle-Accurate Performance Predictions for Real-Time Embedded Systems

In this paper we present a model-based performance analysis method for component-based real-time systems, featuring cycle-accurate predictions of latencies and enhanced system robustness. The method incorporates the following phases: (a) instruction-level profiling of SW components, (b) modeling the obtained performance metrics in MARTEcompatible models, (c) generation, schedulability analysis ...

ProtEx: a toolkit for the analysis of distributed real-time systems

Large-scale distributed real-time systems are increasingly difficult to analyze within the Rate Monotonic Analysis framework. This is due partly to their heterogeneity, complex interaction between components, and variety of scheduling and queuing policies present in the system. In this paper we present a methodology to extend the traditional RMA approach by allowing general characterization of ...

An Improved Modular Modeling for Analysis of Closed-Cycle Absorption Cooling Systems

A detailed modular modeling of an absorbent cooling system is presented in this paper. The model including the key components is described in terms of design parameters, inputs, control variables, and outputs. The model is used to simulate the operating conditions for estimating the behavior of individual components and system performance, and to conduct a sensitivity analysis based on the give...

Budgetary Constraints and Idle Time Allocation in Common-Cycle Production with non-zero Setup Time

Economic lot size scheduling problem (ELSP) for a multi-product single machine system is a classical problem. This paper considers ELSP with budgetary constraint as an important aspect of such systems. In the real world situations the available funds for investment in inventory is limited. By adopting the common cycle time approach to ELSP, we obtain the optimal common cycle which minimizes the...
